Geometric Abstraction
The paintings I paint are simple and direct in one way and complicated in another. Although they are simplified in a manner which suggests elements of constructivism, I am more interested in the use of metaphor as a means to communicate something suggested but not completely understood. There is usually a concern with the resolution of opposites in my work as well as an interest in the surface of the painting itself. |
